Position Summary:

The Central Billing Coordinator is responsible for the accurate and efficient preparation of prebills and invoices for various Billing Attorneys.  This position reports to the Accounting Operations Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Processes client bills using Prebill Manager and Aderant software
  • Electronic submission of client invoices and client required information via various e-billing websites
  • Researches and answers accounting and billing questions
  • Reviews and edits prebills in response to attorney and secretary requests
  • Reviews and verifies accuracy of billing and supporting documentation as required
  • Undertakes special projects and ad hoc reports as needed/requested
  • Participates in appropriate mandatory training as necessary
  • Assists with other department activities as needed, and performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications & Prior Experience:

  • Minimum 3+ years of progressive experience as a Biller preferably within a law firm
  • Aderant software experience preferred
  • Computer proficiency in Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Exceptional computer skills with the ability to learn new software applications quickly
