As a key member of the IT Financial Systems Team, this role will be responsible for providing technical support for the firm’s financial systems in order to deliver high-quality technology services, ensure efficient system functioning, and develop thorough documentation. This individual will provide full-cycle support on firm-wide projects related to the firm’s financial systems from testing through deployment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  

  • Maintain system processes, effectively troubleshoot and resolve financial system issues through completion, while meeting user satisfaction for key stakeholders.

  • With independent ownership of projects, work with internal business users/owners and other IT teams/members on testing, data audits, deployment and quality assurance.

  • Develop and maintain internal technical documentation such as: system support guides, data and process flow diagrams, etc.

  • Partner with project managers and vendors on the evaluation, validation, recommendation, communication, training, and implementation of new software applications including 3rd party integration as needed.

  • Analyze, develop and implement new business requirements and reports.

  • Provide escalated/second-tier support to users of the firm’s financial applications to diagnose and resolve issues including but not limited to: the management of third-tier ticket processing with external software vendors, user issues including the development of Knowledge Base (“KB”) articles, etc.

  • Provide hand on training on financial systems to new users as when new members join the team.  


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: 
Knowledge of Aderant Expert system preferred.
Working knowledge of financial terms and business processes.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, teamwork, communication and customer service skills.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with technical and non-technical users.
Proficiency in VISIO and Excel.
Ability to read/interpret SQL query language is a plus. 
 

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/JOB EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Business Administration, or equivalent.
3-5 year of experience in a similar role in a professional service organization; law firm experience preferred.
Ideal candidates will have experience in a user support environment.
