Bricker & Eckler LLP is seeking a Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team in our downtown Columbus, Ohio location. Skills and attributes should include but not be limited to:

  • Responsible for financial reporting, by preparing various monthly statistical reports, extracting and uploading data and cross-checking data between financial systems.
  • Must be highly experienced in writing and utilizing SQL queries to create reports for Management, Practice Development, attorneys, clients and finance staff.

  • Works closely with Senior Management and supports various committees to produce a variety of reports as needed.

  • Assist with computer software upgrades and technical issues with the reporting system, including acting as a liaison between the Finance and IT Departments.

  • Position requires college degree, preferably in finance or accounting, and three to five years of work experience.  Previous experience in legal industry and with Aderant software is preferred.

  • Candidate must have a high level of competency in Excel and SQL, including the ability to utilize and create customized financial reporting, and an aptitude to learn new systems.

  • Must possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and be able to speak effectively to all levels of the organization.

  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and high attention to detail.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy of data and being responsive to requests.
