Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., a multi-office national firm has an immediate opening for a Billing Appeals Specialist to join our Miami Administrative Office. This is a full time position, competitive salary and benefits package offered.

 

 

 

 

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for coordination and resolution of billing issues for all clients. This is a hands-on position that involves communicating with clients and employees of a multi-office firm regarding any pending deducted invoices.

 

 

 

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Monitor the status of all deducted invoices submitted through the electronic billing process to ensure that they are submitted successfully.

 

Communicate with attorneys, assistants and clients when invoices are deducted.

 

Send attorney’s copies of the reductions of their client’s invoices; request the required information to be able to appeal the reductions.

 

Appeal reductions to firm’s invoices on client’s e-billing websites per attorney’s instructions.

 

Provide continuous information to billing partners to assist with invoice adjustments and rejections.

 

Collaborate with attorneys and staff to provide solutions regarding time entry, billing and cost recovery.

 

Coordinate with billing specialist to assist and advice acceptable client billing practice.

 

Resolve e-billing issues; provide accounting /billing analyses when necessary.

 

Assist attorneys and assistants with e-billing deduction inquiries.

 

Other job related duties as assigned.

 

 

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

3+ years of experience working in Billing Dept. &/ or Law Firm high volume/large transaction work environment

 

 

 Must be experienced with law firm billing processes specifically electronic billing, submissions and appeals.

 

 Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word and Outlook.

 

 Requires critical thinking skills, excellent communication and organizational skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

High School Diploma or its equivalent.
